Product Specification
The fine performance of coal mill is essential for better combustion. Coal gets ground by grinding elements in stages. Hot primary air from air pre heater drives moisture from coal and acts as carrier to transport pulverized coal to the boiler through pipes. Classifier allows finer particles to escape mill outlet while coarse particles are returned to mill for further grinding.

Mech-well utilizes CFD technique and practical experience to improve the performance of coal mill. The flow behavior inside the coal mill is analyzed and various parameters affecting coal mill performance is investigated through CFD technique.

Cyclone Seperator

A cyclone separator is a device, which causes centrifugal separation of materials in a   fluid flow. Unlike the slow settling of particles within a settling tank, a cyclone separator system yields fast separation and utilizes less space.   Separation occurs quickly because one "G" of the gravitational force is replaced by multiple "g" of the acting centrifugal force.    The material to be separated can consists of solid particle or liquids, i.e. droplets, which are classified according to size, shape and density.

The cyclone utilizes the energy obtained from the fluid pressure   gradient to create rotational fluid motion.  This rotational fluid motion causes the dispersed phase to separate relatively fast due to the strong acting   forces.  In widely used reverse flow cyclones of the cylinder on the cone design type gases spiral down from a tangential inlet towards the apex of a conical   section, where the flow is reversed and the particles are collected in a hopper.  The continuous phase then proceeds upwards in an inner core flow towards   the gas exit via the vortex finder.

Cyclone designs have been developed over many years since their invention. Now a   days, there exit a numbers of different types for various industrial applications. Many attempts have been made to improve the performance of cyclone by modifying their shape in terms of ration of different key dimensions. CFD  is one of the tool to design high efficiency cyclones.

Stirrer Tank

Homogenization is major process in many industries, such as chemicals, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, and petroleum. Mech-well employ Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to study and improvement the flow pattern in process industries such as mechanical mixing, agitation in stirred vessels.

CFD allows in-depth analysis of stirred vessels. It provides the flexibility to readily change design parameters such as tank scale, flow regimes, impeller location, and number of impellers. Using CFD, the study of mixing tanks becomes easier and more economical than with the use of experiments.

Benefits
  • Optimize the geometrical configurations for Energy savings due to more efficient agitation design (baffle, agitator, no of baffles)
  • Shorten the product development and process optimization time.
